OCONTO FALLS AREA AMBULANCE SERVICE

OUR SERVICE

Oconto Falls Area Ambulance Service, Inc. is a progressive, paid on call volunteer 501(C) 3 non-profit organization providing a wide array of pre-hospital emergency medical services to over 9,500 residents in our service area. We have ACLS- Certified Registered Nurses, Paramedics, EMT's and First Responder's trained in the latest techniques of life-saving care. We only employ the most dedicated individuals willing to commit the time and energy needed to provide the best in pre-hospital emergency medical care.

Monthly requirements include attending business meetings and training sessions on the second Wednesday of each month from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our members are also required to be able to schedule a minimum of 100 hours of on call time per month. Of the 100 hours, 36 of those hours must be during the day time hours or on weekends. Our shifts run from 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am.

The Oconto Falls Area Ambulance operates using four ambulances and an off-road ATV. We are a paid on call volunteer service with an annual run volume of over 600 calls per year for an average of 1 1/2 calls per day.

We serve approximately 9,500 people within the City of Oconto Falls and surrounding Townships of Abrams, Morgan, Oconto Falls, Spruce and Stiles. Our rural service area is approximately 200 square miles.

Oconto Falls Ambulance holds a membership roster of approximately 50 EMS providers.

All applications remain on file and are reviewed periodically by the hiring committee. Interviews are conducted immediately as openings occur.
